Cleaning of contaminated aircraft engine parts particularly carbon deposits & burnt fuel from the engine cowling.
CHALLENGE
It was difficult cleaning heavily contaminated aircraft engine parts as it was not possible to use a high pressure washer or aqueous alkaline solution – neither was an option for the client. They were previously using acetone and a diluent which took several days and then needed to be correctly & ecologically disposed of which was adding to the maintenance costs of the operation.
